National Poetry Month + SingleStore Notebooks Challenge Results!

SingleStore Notebooks is similar to Jupyter Notebooks and Google Colab where you can dive deeper into data analytics, machine learning, data exploration and build real-time AI applications. We knew this could be the perfect tool to create something great!

After receiving several incredible submissions, we’re excited to announce the winner: Narinder Singh. Now, let’s get to know a bit about them:

What do you do for a living? And where are you located?

I am a Principal Lead Data Scientist at Bayer Crop Science based in Kansas City, MO.

What inspired you to get involved with our National Poetry Month contest?

I like to read and write poetry, mostly in my native language Punjabi. But once in a while, I try to write in English as well. I have been writing poetry since my high school days. Plus, this contest gave me an opportunity to combine my personal and professional passions; poetry, data science and coding. So, it was a no brainer to participate in this contest.

How was your experience with using SingleStore Notebooks to create your masterpiece?

When I tried it on my personal computer, everything worked smoothly. It did take some time to get used to the new UI but it seems to be well organized.

What do you like to do for fun or in your spare time?

Poetry — reading and writing. And keeping up-to-date with data science topics, and programming with R and python.

There you have it – thanks to all those who participated! We had a tough time choosing a winner. If you’re curious what you can build with SingleStore Notebooks, you can get started today with this step-by-step guide.
