SingleStore Opens Global Innovation Center as Think Tank Accelerator for Keystone Customers
East Coast-Based Launch Pad Complements Company’s Engineering Sites Around the World
San Francisco, CA - June 22, 2021 - SingleStore, the world’s fastest unified database for data-intensive applications, today launched its first innovation center. The SingleStore Launch Pad exists to reduce the friction that organizations encounter in advancing their digital transformations and becoming more data-driven. This home of discovery and exploration will drive thought leadership about what is on the data and analytics horizon for SingleStore customers and enterprises everywhere.
“The SingleStore Launch Pad is the latest proof point of SingleStore’s commitment to innovation that helps our customers and partners achieve more with data and analytics,” said SingleStore Chief Innovation Officer Oliver Schabenberger, who will anchor the effort. “Our work to establish the SingleStore Launch Pad is the result and extension of the SingleStore strategy to be the platform that powers modern, intelligent, and data-intensive applications.”
Work at SingleStore Launch Pad will include prototyping and identifying technological solutions for forward-looking product enhancements. It will also involve collaborating with customers and partners to integrate and enhance SingleStore technology. For example, SingleStore and keystone customers have come together through the SingleStore Launch Pad to understand these customers’ future needs to ensure strategic alignment with their technology directions.
SingleStore will also use the Launch Pad as an executive briefing center for its customers and partners located on the East Coast corridor.
Located at 321 W. Davie St. in Raleigh, N.C., which is a highly desirable area in which to live and work, the Launch Pad will house employees from across the company. That includes individuals from alliances, engineering, marketing, and sales, as well as members from the SingleStore innovation team. SingleStore Chief Product Officer Jordan Tigani will staff engineering at Launch Pad and work closely with Schabenberger on innovation and strategy. Mick Charles, senior vice president and head of people operations, will work with remote and local teams from the office, and Chief Revenue Officer Paul Forte will staff business development representatives, partner solutions specialists, and other resources to support SingleStore Launch Pad initiatives.
“SingleStore’s expansion into Raleigh will give us access to some of the best tech talent in the country and the world,” said Charles. “Leading tech companies such as Cisco, Citrix, IBM, Lenovo, and Red Hat are already located in this upcoming tech mecca, and Apple, Google, and Pendo have recently announced plans for major expansions in the Raleigh area.”
SingleStore is the unified database for data-intensive applications. This distributed SQL database supports transactions and analytics; handles structured, unstructured and semi-structured data; and works in public clouds, on-premises environments and hybrid deployments.
SingleStore Launch Pad complements the company’s engineering facilities around the world – in San Francisco and Seattle in the U.S., and in Kyiv, Ukraine, and Lisbon, Portugal, in Europe. Click here to learn more about SingleStore job opportunities in engineering and other disciplines.
