I am unable to connect memsql to django with mysql db connector.

Welcome to SingleStore forums!
Can you please try the following and let me know if either of them resolves the issue?

  1. drop the OPTIONS block from your DATABASES config
  2. set the SingleStore compat_version to 5.5.58
