Helios and remote JDBC connection

Is there some documentation covering the connection of an external application to my Helios database using a JDBC driver?

A similar question was answered at JDBC connectivity with MemSQL - Help - SingleStore Forums The consensus in that post is to use the MariaDB driver and use standard parameters noting the Helios connection IP, user, and password.
