Impact of High Availability on Partition count

I’m Having
Total VM:5 , Master VM:1, Leaf VM:4
CPU Coes per VM: 16
My question is what should be the optimal number of partitions? And the Impact of High availability on partition count per VM.

As seen in our engine variables the default_partitions_per_leaf is 8 partitions per leaf node in the cluster. For 4 leaf nodes, the default/optimal number of partitions would be 32 partitions (4 leaf nodes * 8 partitions per leaf). This configuration will be highly available - more in our docs on HA.
