What is the meaning of sync and local in 'is local' of show users command

I have created four different users with specific privileges.

But when I run the “show users” command I am seeing all users as below. Please let me know below things.

What is the meaning of connections ?

What is the meaning of is locat? if ‘is local’ is ‘sync’ and ‘local’ what it means and what is the difference?

The “Is local” column indicates if this user is automatically synchronized to all aggregators or not. If sync_permissions is enabled on your cluster then all users other then root will be SYNC users.

The connections column shows how many connections are logged in with that user.
